About  Filey

Situated centrally between its busier neighbours of Scarborough and Bridlington, Filey is best described as the quiet neighbour.

With its glorious sweep of soft, golden sand, Filey beach is one of the best in the country for families – it’s so huge that, no matter how busy it gets, it’s never crowded.

It’s the perfect place to take a walk, fly a kite, build a sandcastle, snooze in a deckchair, or maybe do a spot of birdwatching – Filey Brigg, a peninsula at the northern end of the town, is an important resting place for migrating birds – followed by a trip to the much-loved Coble Landing, a slipway with a picturesque jumble of boats and kiosks, for a cuppa and a bacon buttie.

The town, too, is full of gentle pleasures, with its Edwardian architecture, quirky shops and intriguing museum. And – it’s official! 

About  the Bungalow

Built around 30 years ago, No. 2 Lakeside is modern following a full refurbishment in 2021.

With two bedrooms, (three sleeping rooms), a four seater Hot Tub, Flat Screen TVs in every room, WiFi, an Xbox One S, and a washing machine, the property features everything that you'll ever need plus more. On the doorstep, literally, you have a fishing pond and a convienience store and local pub are simply a five minute stroll across the road. Towards the sea lies a traditional Cafe, great for breakfast!

 

For entertainment, the popular Haven's Primrose Valley Holiday Centre can be visited, where for a small fee activities galore are at your fingertips.  

Within a 10 minute walk to the south lies The Bay, a modern complex featuring fully kitted Gym, Swimming Baths and Children Entertainment. Here also is a pub, a dog friendly cafe, and a pharmacy.
